As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will be entrusted with various critical responsibilities: Act as a subject matter expert in signal integrity design and validation through the entire product lifecycle. Establish signal integrity performance and functional requirements for new products. Conduct signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards pertinent to each product. This involves determining suitable simulation methodologies and understanding the criteria for varying interfaces. Perform reviews of PCB design schematics and layouts to ensure top-notch quality and functionality. Create actionable recommendations based on design reviews and simulation results, guiding connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity viewpoint. Leverage simulation tools effectively to tackle complex design challenges across projects. To be a strong candidate for this role, applicants must possess the following: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; equivalent work experience may also be considered. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design, RF design, or PCB design. Proficiency in signal integrity analysis tools such as Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, and CST or equivalent tools. A firm understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior. Strong analytical skills to interpret both simulation and lab data, navigated through identifying issues and proposing solutions. Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly is also advantageous. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Flexibility and ability to work in a global environment, accommodating various time zones and collaborating with diverse teams. A driven, self-motivated individual who is also a quick learner and capable of working independently. The compensation for the Sr R&D/Product Dvl Engineer role is highly competitive, with a base salary between $140,000 and $148,000, depending on the candidate's experience and geographical location. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust these ranges as necessary based on the selected candidate's qualifications.
