Primary responsibilities include reviewing and coding medical record documentation: identifying relevant facts in patient records; coding evaluation and management services to CPT codes and diagnoses to ICD-9 codes; collaborating with physicians; leading a team of coders; preparing case reports and initiating follow-ups for billing.
Working Conditions: normal office setting in the United States.
Required Qualifications:
Certifications/Professional Licenses: CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or other related credentials from AHIMA or AAPC.
