The Innovation digital product owner at Hero MotoCorp will own the digital assets (applications, website ) for the innovation team. This person will oversees the vision and entire lifecycle of a digital product, from inception to launch. Digital project management requires a range of skills, including market and customer research, designing the product architecture, UI development, and supply chain planning. They act as a mediator between consumers and the technical teams, communicating business needs and translating them into new product features for the team to design.

A purpose driven role for you

This role requires user-first mind-set, strong understanding of back-end and front-end programming languages, and an ability to develop data pipelines that can be used to track, analyze, develop and improve our digital products. The role requires a candidate who has excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills for working with a team to interpret large amounts of data. This is a user-centric role, working to translate the needs of users into digital business opportunities.

A Day in the life

  • Drive strategies and long-term vision to build best-in-class digital products (Innovation Website)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, to develop the best digital assets for Innovation business
  • Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers, and research teams throughout the process
  • Craft a product vision (short- and long-term) and convert it to concrete strategy
  • Participate in market research, validation, and white space analysis to identify opportunities for new or existing features and functionalities
  • Partner with business owners and agile product teams to build roadmaps that will be reflected in the company’s broader portfolio planning
  • Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product
  • Stay updated on automotive industry advancements, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks in the context of technology and product innovation

Academic Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelors – B.Tech CS (good to have not mandatory)
  • Masters- MBA (good to have, not deal breaker)
  • Strong understanding of technology trends, emerging technologies, and their applications in product innovation
  • Three to five years of experience in digital product management or similar role
  • Experienced in understanding the different stages in digital product journey

Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in understanding the design language, user experience tools and development road map

Behavioural Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities and drive innovative solutions.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
