Position Summary:
The Security Intern will assist in various cybersecurity tasks, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization. This role offers hands-on experience in security monitoring, vulnerability management, and security awareness initiatives, among other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring:

Assist in monitoring security alerts and incidents.
Participate in incident response activities to mitigate and contain security threats.

Vulnerability Management:

Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
Help identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities in systems and applications.

Security Awareness:

Contribute to security awareness initiatives.
Create and promote security best practices among employees.

Documentation:

Document security processes, procedures, and guidelines.
Maintain up-to-date records of security configurations and assets.

Security Tools:

Familiarize with security tools and technologies used for monitoring, detection, and prevention.
Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new security solutions.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization’s operations.

Research:

Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Conduct research to enhance the organization’s security posture.

PowerPoint Presentations:

Create high-quality PowerPoint presentations within tight timelines as per client requirements.

New Technologies:

Participate in projects/tasks/processes as assigned, which may go beyond the role of SOC and VAPT analyst, based on business requirements.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, Penetration testing tools, vulnerability scanners).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

B.Tech CSE
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus.
Previous internship or project experience in cybersecurity is advantageous.
